Soccer Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Singer Murs in Top Flight Predictions

Arsenal's ten-match winning streak was ended by Sunderland before the international hiatus, however can the English top division frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this game," stated soccer specialist Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus AI, readers and a range of special visitors.

In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

Murs' new record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Football and Family Experiences

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a accomplished artist and has been a featured player of multiple charity football games over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other evening for a friend of mine," he explained. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you will!

"I still love football, but I injured my joint a few years ago and it still hasn't fully recovered. I wish I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their coach.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I really got into it, and I obviously owned a soccer team for a while too.

"My dad coached with us when I was a kid, which is probably where I get it from. He coached our side for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Premier League Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

Chelsea might have to wait a bit longer for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is already stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

I still think this fixture will be quite close, however. Burnley are well organised and their only at Turf Moor losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This suggests a 1-1 draw to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's forecast: 1-2

Olly's prediction: Chelsea will be too strong. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have lost their past two matches - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, the Hammers won back-to-back victories before the hiatus and, although both of those games were at home, they do look competitive again.

West Ham's sole away win this season came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham boss Nuno Espirito Santo was previously Forest manager.

So, what on earth do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their run under Nuno, or the home side responding?

I will go with Bournemouth, because I think what happened against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

The guest's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under their boss. 2-2

AI's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for relegation before the season began, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three in their past four games.

A family member told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my Fantasy Football squad a few weeks ago and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this term, and Brighton are always strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's team pose much more of a danger.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it actually turns out to be quite close. 1-1

AI's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a huge game for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

They have have plenty of quality in their squad but it still seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

As for the Black Cats, indeed they are the unexpected success of the top flight campaign so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were fully competitive for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously able of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they defeated Chelsea at the end of last month.

However I am not going to do that. Rather, I really need to continue opposing the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's home record, the only team they have been defeated by is the league leaders. Their manager's side will be absolutely eager for a good outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's forecast: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I know the visitors are performing strongly and additionally that the hosts are on a poor streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been decent at home this campaign. 2-0

The algorithm's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to predict. The Reds have suffered seven of their last ten matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
