Soldier Sarah Beckstrom, 20, was killed in a shooting on Wednesday in the nation's capital.
Her fellow service member, Andrew Wolfe, twenty-four years old, remains hospitalized in serious condition.
Memorials across the state have occurred in their remembrance.
The president said heâs talked about a meeting at the presidential residence for the families of both individuals of the West Virginia Guard.
âI told them: âWhen youâre ready, because thatâs a tough thing, visit the White House. Weâre going to recognize her,â Trump addressed the press. âAnd similarly with Andrew, whether he recovers or not.â
Attendees assembled over the weekend at the high school in West Virginia to honor Sarah.
