Injured Sesko to Sit Out Slovenian National Team Matches but United Hopeful of Quick Return
Striker Sesko will miss out on Slovenia's upcoming matches against Sweden and Kosovo because of a knee problem sustained during the latest match against Tottenham. However, the club remains hopeful that he might be back in time to face the Everton side following the international break.
Injury Particulars and Recovery Period
The forward was substituted after 87 minutes of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Spurs having been introduced in the 58th minute for Noussair Mazraoui. Manager Ruben Amorim voiced worry after the game, resulting in the player's pull-out from the Slovenia squad.
Manchester United will carry out additional examinations at their Carrington facility this week, but early indications suggest a possible return in time for the Everton scheduled for 24 November.
Other Squad News
Casemiro and Harry Maguire also were forced off the field during the Tottenham match. While Maguire's condition is yet to be determined, it is believed that Casemiro is fit and has joined national team commitments with Brazil.
MartĂnez, who has been sidelined since suffering a knee issue back in February, will join the Argentine squad at their European training camp. However, the center-back will not feature in Friday's friendly against Angola at Luanda. A member of United's performance team will support the player, who recently returned to training with the first-team group.
